By using the Agrinet HerdApp you automatically agree to the terms and conditions and privacy statement laid out in this document. The terms and conditions and privacy statement relate to the Agrinet HerdApp that is available from the iPhone and Android App stores and PC browser and that you can use with a valid HerdApp username (herd number) and password.  These terms and conditions and/or privacy statement may change as time passes. Please revisit this web page at a later date to re-check. Agrinet HerdApp Terms and Conditions

1. Irish Farm Computers Ltd, (IFC), trading as AgriNet, periodically enhance the AgriNet HerdApp to improve benefits to clients. The AgriNet HerdApp may change at any time as it is improved.
2. AgriNet test the AgriNet HerdApp for accuracy of data entry and data reports. If you notice a defect in the App or feel that any input screen or report needs to be changed or improved, let us know immediately and we will consider the issue and make changes if appropriate.
3. Every farmer/user undertakes to be responsible to check that their data is being recorded correctly and reported correctly. AgriNet will bear no responsibility for wrong decisions being made based on incorrect data being recorded or presented in reports.
4. If a farmer decides to stop paying an annual fee for access to AgriNet HerdApp, the farmer will still be able to access all the data. New data cannot be entered in this situation.
5. The AgriNet HerdApp data is located on a web server and there is a small chance that this server will be unavailable due to technical reasons. In this case AgriNet will endeavour to get the server back online as quickly as possible once we are aware that the service has been affected.
6. Every user of the website is entitled to ask Agrinet for a copy of all data that they have entered in to Agrinet HerdApp in the event that they want to stop using the website.
7. Every user of the website is entitled to ask AgriNet for a copy of all data that they have entered in to AgriNet HerdApp in the event that they want to stop using the website.
8. Every user of the AgriNet HerdApp is entitled to ask AgriNet to delete all of their records from the AgriNet HerdApp in the event that they want to stop using the app.
9. IFC use SSL technology to protect the data on the web server. AgriNet also have a rigorous backup procedure in place to keep backups of all data on the website. In the very rare event that these security and backup procedures fail to prevent loss of data, AgriNet cannot be responsible for this data loss.

Agrinet HerdApp Privacy Statement

1. Data is stored on the AgriNet.ie database server for the purpose of helping farmers make better management decisions. Eg. Animal remedies, feed & drug purchase etc.
2. AgriNet HerdApp uses the farmers BTE herd number as the username for the AgriNet HerdApp. The BTE herd number is the key identifier for the links to ICBF and Agfood. By using the herd number as the app username we remove the need for an Agrinet HerdApp username which is another username that needs to be remembered. It makes it easier for all concerned to provide technical support on the App.
3. The data link to ICBF needs to be activated by the herd owner in the "HerdApp Admin Area" area. Without this authorisation there will be no herd data on the user’s AgriNet HerdApp.
4. The herd owner can also revoke this data link to ICBF at any time. If there is an extended period of inactivity on AgriNet HerdApp this link may automatically break.
5. A range of data is stored solely & directly on the ICBF server such as heats, serves, pregnancy tests,body condition score, health problem event and weights.
6. In the "HerdApp Admin Area" a herd owner can create an owner's password and a staff password. Never give the owner's password to anyone else. It is purely for the herd owner.
7. The staff password allows a staff member to fully use the AgriNet HerdApp but they cannot access the "HerdApp Admin Area".
8. The link to agfood for calf registration and movement permits requires the use of a PIN as requested by the Department of Agriculture. If the herd owner wishes to control the connection to agfood never give the herd agfood PIN to staff members.
9. The owner's password and the staff password and the PIN can be changed at any time in "HerdApp Admin Area" section of the App which is available from the initial login screen.
10. Data can be downloaded electronically from Agrinet HerdApp screens for importing to spreadsheets. This may be used to do further processing/formatting of report data. It is the responsibility of the person downloading this data to use this data only for the purpose it was entered and only in the best interests of the farmer who owns the data.
11. AgriNet staff can access data for any farmer at any time, for support purposes only, after which the herd will be removed from the support staff device. This only happens so that we can help provide a better service to our Client.
12. At the farmers request support staff can also add, edit or delete data as required to help the farmer use the software more efficiently. The herd will be removed from the support staff device.
13. Apart from ICBF, agfood & staff members, where data is shared with farmer permission, AgriNet HerdApp data is not available to any other individuals or organisations.
14. AgriNet stores personal data (including name, contact details, herd details) for the purposes of providing access to herd data stored on national database, for billing and customer care.
